The Streaming Audio app is only available in Full and Pro subscriptions.
With the Streaming Audio app, you can play a wide variety of web radio stations directly from your Playr page. We have already selected and categorized a great number of popular radio stations for you to pick from. But if you like, you can also play another radio station of your choice, if you know its web address. Also, there are a number of websites that list thousands of these radio station URL's or allow you to search for them, such as:
The app icon you see only serves as a placeholder in the designer and will not be visible during playback.
If you like to play background music in your entire playlist, we recommend using the background music setting of a playlist instead.
You can configure the app using the following properties:
|Play from...||Select if you want to play one of the predefined stations or enter your own radio station web address.|
|Country||Select the country of the desired radio station.|
|Genre||Select the genre of the desired radio station.|
|Station||Select the actual radio station you like to play.|
|Web address of audio stream||Paste in the web address (URL) of the audio stream you like to play.|
|Volume||Set the right volume level.|
And finally there are a number of generic app properties that you can configure that you'll find on many other elements as well.
If you use your own web address, you should be aware that not all browsers support the same audio formats. To be 100% sure that a certain stream works on a specific playback device, we recommend you simply test it. Here's an overview of the known supported formats per major web browser (latest version):
